Alternative Provision Tutor

£30 per hour depending on experience

Connex Education are currently working in partnership with a small Alternative provision in Nottingham that needs support for the long term supply.

Assignment Details

The role would be working as alternative provision tutor working to build relationships with the pupils before engaging in the curriculum which gives the tutor you freedom to explore creative ways to inspire. The role would be working 10am until 2pm on campus and off depending on each pupil.

Person Specification
  • Have QTS status or relevant qualifications
  • Be confident in your ability to lead a class of children aged 11-16 years
  • Be able to work well with challenging behaviour
  • Hold strong communication skills both orally and written
  • Willing to undergo continual professional training
  • Able to work under pressure effectively and ‘think on your feet’
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic with a ‘can do attitude’ and good sense of humour
  • Be able to commute to Nottingham and surrounding areas.
