Job summary

A local authority in the UK is seeking an enthusiastic Alternative Provision Officer to join their collaborative team. Job description

Temporary for 1 year from the start date.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated practitioner to join our friendly and experienced Alternative Provision Team and Specialist Taskforce (APST) as an Alternative Provision Officer.

You will work proactively with schools and families to improve the educational outcomes and wellbeing of pupils whoare at risk of or subject to exclusions. Youwill hold and manage a caseload in order to secure best outcomes, in partnership with our successful Alternative Provision Panel, Medical AP system and Alternative Provision Specialist Taskforce.

Our Alternative Provision team is supportive and collaborative. You would report to the AP Manager, receiving training and support as well as regular supervisions. No two days are the same; we all thrive on the variety and the opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people. You would have weekly opportunities to work from home, as well as (currently) 1 day per week in the office, and attendance at various settings across the district. You will need a valid driving license or access to public or other transport in order to undertake visits to any setting within the district.
