Location: Rhondda Cynon Taff
Contract: Full Time, Until the end of the academic year
Pay Rate: £89.38 per day (£13.75ph)
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible

Are you a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)?

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible ALN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area. This is a full-time role supporting pupils across the primary age range who require additional support to reach their full potential.

Staff work collaboratively to support all pupils academically, socially, and emotionally.

About the Role
  • Support children with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils develop confidence and key learning skills.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to meet individual learning needs.
We’re looking for someone who is:
  • Patient, caring, and understanding of children’s individual needs.
  • Passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different classroom settings.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experienced working with primary-age pupils or within an educational setting.
