Job title: Airframe Fitter

Duration: 6 months rolling contract - long term

Location: Cambridge, CB5 8RX

Hours & Shift Pattern: 5/5/4 - approx. 40 hours a week

Rate: GBP27.97 PAYE / GBP38.48 UMBRELLA

Morson are recruiting for Airframe Fitters to work with our prestigious client in Cambridge.

The scope of the role is to carry out maintenance, modifications and repairs to aircraft structure & mechanical systems in accordance with work card instructions and relevant controlled technical documentation.

Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and activity to ensure that progressive gains in efficiency are maintained.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a recognised Engineering apprenticeship or a relevant higher education qualification
  • Experience of Engineering within a maintenance environment
  • Experience on C130 Hercules highly desirable
  • Experience in heavy structural modifications & repairs
  • The ability to work individually as well as within a team across all functions on site, demonstrating a proactive and flexible attitude and supporting business targets and Company goals
  • You must have an eye for Continuous Improvement
  • Attention to detail and be self-motivated
  • Enthusiastic attitude, coupled with good teamwork & communication skills
  • GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English
  • Good knowledge of H & S Legislation and some knowledge of COSHH
  • Electrical Qualification advantageous but not essential
