A leading freight forwarding company near London Heathrow is looking for an experienced Air Import Clerk to manage air import consignments from start to finish. The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of experience in air freight imports, be confident in completing customs entries independently, and possess strong knowledge of air freight operations. This role requires a proactive approach in a fast-paced logistics environment, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and maintaining accurate shipment records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in air freight imports.
• Proven experience handling air consignments from start to finish.
• Confident completing customs entries without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Handle air import consignments from start to finish.
• Complete customs entries accurately and independently.
• Cut MAWB and HAWB documentation.
• Process and book in pre-alerts from overseas agents.
• Liaise with customers to obtain clearance instructions.
• Coordinate with airlines, handlers, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and system updates.
