Job summary

Intercom is seeking a transformational Solutions Engineering leader for the EMEA region to scale our AI-driven support platform with major brands. You will shape go-to-market motions, build a world-class SE team, and deliver customer value through technical credibility and strategic deals.

The role blends strategic vision with hands-on leadership, collaborating with Sales, Success, Product, Engineering and Services to drive transformation and revenue growth across global regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pre-sales experience as Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect.
• 3+ years leading technical pre-sales teams with hiring/mentoring experience.
• Experience selling AI, data, or highly technical products is preferred.
• Comfort with ambiguity and high-pressure customer environments.
• Humility and a passion to help others and grow the team.
• Track record of delivering revenue and accurate forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the strategic vision and GTM for Solutions Engineering.
• Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing SE team across regions and verticals.
• Engage in strategic deals as a player-coach, developing capabilities.
• Provide technical guidance, architecture, demos, and product evaluation support.
• Serve as trusted advisor and executive contact for large customers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and R&D on GTM motions and strategy.
• Champion customer-obsessed culture across pre-sales from outbound to implementation.
• Lead discovery, design, and delivery of tailored technical solutions including PoCs.
• Build reusable solution frameworks and industry-specific assets.
• Advocate for customer needs to influence product roadmap.
• Represent Intercom at executive meetings and external events.
• Build strong C-level relationships translating AI capabilities into business impact.
