Job summary

Sainsbury’s Group is seeking an experienced learning and development leader to own the AI fluency curriculum and certification pathway across stores, depots and support centres.

You will design and curate high-quality AI learning content, blending company material with external content, and embed safe, responsible AI use through governance. You’ll partner with People, Learning & Development, Technology and the AI CoE to scale capability across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience building capability and learning and development in a data/AI context.
• Designing and delivering learning programs across a large organisation for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of AI literacy and making complex topics practical for non-technical colleagues.
• Strong instructional design and facilitation skills with engaging content, pathways and assessments.
• Experience measuring learning impact and using insights to improve content and outcomes.
• Ability to own and manage programs end to end in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience working with champion networks or communities of practice.

Responsibilities

• Own Sainsbury's AI fluency curriculum and certification pathway, defining clear capability requirements and learning pathways for different colleague groups and roles.
• Design, create and curate high-quality AI learning content, blending Sainsbury's material with partner/external content.
• Make AI learning accessible across stores, depots and support centres, regardless of role or prior digital experience.
• Embed safe and responsible AI use with AI Governance and Assurance to ensure guardrails.
• Partner with People, Learning & Development, Technology and the AI CoE to embed AI fluency into learning journeys and onboarding.
• Support AI champion networks and communities of practice, sharing learning and good practice across the business.
• Measure impact through take-up, capability growth and application in real work; use insights to improve the offering and link to business value.
