Job summary

Actian is seeking an AI Enablement Lead in Warrington to architect, scale, and own our AI enablement strategy end-to-end. You will build foundational platforms, tooling, and frameworks enabling product and engineering teams to deploy AI safely and at scale.

In this role, you will establish LLMOps governance, optimize costs and latency, and drive cross-functional upskilling to democratize AI across the organization. A strong technical background and excellent English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong background as Senior AI/ML Engineer or Software Architect who has built and scaled AI-powered applications in enterprise SaaS or data platforms.
• Deep technical expertise in Python or Go, semantic search, vector databases, orchestration frameworks, and fine-tuning LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain core AI orchestration layers, gateways, and reusable frameworks for company-wide use.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed production-ready AI features into Actian Data Intelligence Platform.
• Establish guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and monitoring tools for model performance, bias, privacy, and security.
• Monitor and optimize cloud/API compute spend and latency for production AI features.
• Lead workshops and create documentation to empower non-AI teams to build AI features.
• Drive PoC to production with scalable, production-grade code.
• Define and enforce the official AI stack including vector databases and embeddings strategies.
• Evaluate AI model providers and open-source models to keep Actian at the edge.
• Define metrics to track AI enablement impact.
