Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Neuro/Oncology Therapy Team at Sheffield Children’s. You will deliver specialist care to infants, children, and young people with newly acquired brain or spinal injuries, or cancer, across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings—including patient homes and the acute hospital.

You’ll be part of an experienced, supportive, and forward‑thinking team, developing valuable skills and professional growth through child‑centred, multidisciplinary care.

About You
  • Knowledge of therapeutic procedures gained through a combination of formal training, short courses, and experience to Diploma Level 5 or equivalent, or a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or a Level 5 Apprenticeship
  • Experience in health or social care and delivering therapy programmes
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Experience working with children and young people in a health care setting
Main duties of the job
  • Using play, positioning and physical activity to deliver rehabilitation programmes for children and young people with complex needs, improving function and participation in family and community life and reducing the impact of disability or illness.
  • Providing comprehensive therapy interventions to patients with diverse conditions, ensuring high‑quality care within a multidisciplinary team, managing a personal caseload and developing individualised treatment plans, adjusting as necessary and in liaison with a registered AHP.
  • Promoting the health and wellbeing of children and young people through delivery of dedicated evidence‑based practice and professional development.

Qualifications and Training
