Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in agriculture (e.g. livestock, arable, machinery, dairy, mixed farming).
  • A relevant assessing qualification or willingness to gain one.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for apprenticeships and raising standards in the industry.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

  • Support, coach, and assess apprentices in agriculture.
  • Conduct regular reviews and set meaningful targets.
  • Ensure apprentices develop required knowledge and skills.
  • Provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.

Location: Bicton

Salary: £33,000 FTE, Pro-Rata for 22.5 hours £20,065.50 (Includes Market Premium)

Terms & Conditions: Part Time (22.5 hours/52 weeks), Support Contract

We\'re seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Apprenticeship Assessor to join our outstanding team at Bicton College, working with apprentices across the agricultural sector.

Following our Ofsted Outstanding achievement, we are expanding our team to meet growing demand and deliver an exceptional apprenticeship experience.

What you\'ll do
  • Support, coach, and assess apprentices in agricultural workplaces across the region
  • Conduct regular reviews, set meaningful targets, and guide learners through their apprenticeship journey
  • Ensure apprentices develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for success
  • Provide constructive feedback, maintain accurate records, and drive timely achievement
  • Work closely with employers and curriculum staff to deliver industry-leading training
Skills & Experience
  • Hands-on experience in agriculture (e.g. livestock, arable, machinery, dairy, mixed farming)
  • A relevant assessing qualification (e.g. TAQA, A1) or willingness to gain one
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A genuine passion for apprenticeships and raising standards in the industry
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel is essential)
