The Role

Agile Development Team Lead to lead a team of software developers, including seniors and full stack developers, to deliver high‑quality solutions designed collaboratively with business product owners, ensuring the future growth of physiotherapy & mental health services.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of software developers to deliver high‑quality solutions within agreed timelines, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary resources and training.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business requirements where required, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and oversee the design and implementation of software solutions.
  • Manage multiple development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
  • Facilitate regular stand‑ups, team meetings, code reviews and provide constructive feedback to promote best practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent industry experience in Computer Programming/Science, Information Systems or related subjects (E).
Experience
  • Demonstrable experience leading software development teams and managing the agile software development lifecycle (E).
  • Ability to produce written communications (e.g. training documents, project plans) which are clear and readily understood (E).
  • Practical experience of project management software for example Jira or Azure Dev Ops (E).
Skills
  • Must have very good interpersonal skills and the ability to act efficiently in a highly demand‑led environment (E).
  • Must have the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to promote and provide solutions to business related problems (E).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non‑technical stakeholders (E).
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs (E).
Other Information

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Position: Permanent, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

Hybrid role: 2-3 days per week from our office in Suffolk IP6 0FU
