About the Role

As an Agency Health Care Assistant, you will deliver essential care across a variety of settings, including care homes, nursing homes, supported living environments and 1:1 client support in West Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
  • Support clients in managing medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well‑being.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques.
  • Help maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary.

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience
    • Ideally 6 months’ experience in care or similar roles.
    • Care Certificate, PMVA Training, Mandatory Training, Basic Life Support, Moving and Handling Training.
  • Skills & Qualities
    • Care and compassion (required).
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good problem‑solving and time management skills.
    • Empathy, patience and emotional resilience.
  • Preferred
    • Full UK driving licence.
    • Access to own vehicle.
    • DBS on update service.
Pay

£12.00‑£14.00 per hour
