A primary school in Hull and East Yorkshire is seeking a passionate individual to work in their after school club, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 3-11. The successful candidate will assist in providing engaging activities while supporting the club lead. This fixed-term role runs until 31 July 2026 and offers a pay rate of £12.85 per hour for 10 hours a week during term time only.

Job description

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and professional individual to work in our after school club at Stoneferry Primary School.

Whilst creativity, fun and imagination are all key elements of the roles, it is essential that they have experience of working with children and have the ability to build an authentic rapport with young people from all backgrounds and life experiences. This is a fixed term contract until 31 July 2026.

Salary: Grade 3, Point 3 £12.85 per hour for 10 hours per week, 3.00pm - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday term time only (38 weeks per year).

We are looking somebody who is passionate about having a positive impact on primary aged children and who will assist the club lead to create a strong and efficient team and provide a safe, stimulating, comfortable and friendly environment through the medium of arts, play and well-being activities.

The successful candidate will need to be organised, supportive, enthusiastic and kind with the ability to communicate and interact with both children, parents and school staff in an approachable and professional manner.

They will compliment school policies and core values and fulfil statutory childcare provision requirements and procedures.

They must be able to demonstrate they are a nurturing individual, hardworking and has a good understanding of working with children ages 3 – 11 years.
