A leading health service provider is seeking an Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join their team at Royal Free Hospital in London. This role involves providing specialist palliative care to patients, leading clinical assessments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure timely discharges. Are you an experienced palliativecare nurse with a genuine passion for innovation and continuous improvement? AtMarie Curie, we are excited to invite a highly driven and enthusiasticindividual to join our new service at the Royal Free Hospital.
In this role, you will beresponsible for actively identifying patients in the Emergency Department whoare likely in their last year of life, providing specialist palliative care andfacilitating their prompt discharge to appropriate care providers, aligned withpatients preferred place of care.

The care and support we provide is highly valued by thepeople we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reachingaround 10% of dying people at the end of life.Right now, one infour people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or supportthey deserve at the end of their lives.
Wewant a different society than the one we live in now. Our mission for the nextfive years is to close the gap in the number of people missing out on what theyneed at the end-of-life.
You will also manage nursingservices for individuals with terminal illnesses, supporting their loved ones,and collaborating with health professionals. As a vital member of ourmultidisciplinary team, you will offer expert advice and support, managing acaseload of patients with complex needs while ensuring the highest standards ofcare.
This role exemplifiesperson-centred leadership, clinical excellence, and effective multidisciplinarycollaboration, all of which are crucial for Marie Curie to achieve itsstrategic goals. You will be expected to adhere to relevant legal, ethical,capability, and clinical frameworks, as well as Marie Curies policies andprocedures, taking accountability for your actions within the scope of yourrole.
