We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our Team supporting the North Staffordshire Heart Failure Team. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive administrator to support our Heart failure service covering North Staffs, Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire Moorlands areas. You must have proven knowledge of administration procedures, IT skills and excellent communication skills. This role will be key in supporting the Heart Failure service in providing a joined-up patient journey and you required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the service, providing cover to other area Heart Failure teams as directed by the operational lead, to ensure continuity of a quality service.

Main duties of the job
  • Responsible in the use and expenditure of the Trust's resources that you utilise.
  • Accurately maintain and keep secure patient health and staff records/systems in line with policy and standard operating procedure, to ensure data quality, confidentiality and compliance with the current Data Protection Law.
  • Plan and organise appointments, meetings, clinics, diaries, and activities to ensure that standards of service appropriate to the area of work are met.
  • Produce clinical correspondence e.g. letters, reports, from a variety of sources including documents and digital dictation.
  • Send out diagnostic requests and chase up results.
  • Prioritise and manage own workload to meet the needs and requirements of the service demands.
  • Undertake general office duties as required including filing, photocopying, scanning and maintaining stock levels.
