Job description

Junior Bursar is directly supported in these efforts by the Committee Coordinator. The role reports to the Committee Coordinator and the Administrator (Committees) will manage committee processes, coordinate events, and provide critical administrative support. Trinity College is seeking a highly skilled and motivated part‑time Administrator to support the Junior Bursar's Office. This role is essential to maintaining the efficient operation of the College's administrative functions.

The Junior Bursar is responsible for the operational management of the College, directly supervising several Heads of Department and coordinating the activity of others. As a member of Council and several key College Committees, the Junior Bursar influences key decisions and ensures the delivery of the College's short‑term and long‑term priorities.

About Trinity College: Trinity College, founded in 1546 by Henry VIII, has the largest undergraduate community of any of the Cambridge Colleges and is steeped in centuries of history and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting College committees by preparing agendas, collating and distributing papers, drafting minutes, and tracking actions.
  • Scheduling meetings and ensuring adherence to governance guidelines.
  • Assisting in drafting reports and policies through collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Coordinating requests for events and functions, including weddings, conferences, and fundraisers.
  • Managing data, extracting key information, and maintaining accurate records to support decision‑making.
Working Hours

The role involves working 6 hours per day: 24 hours per week over 4 days, Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, during College term time (26 weeks per year) and 12 hours per week over 2 days (days to be agreed), out of College term time.
