Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the expanding, innovative administration team for the MSK CSS / IPASS / BLIS Services, in the role of an Administration Officer. The post is a permanent band 3 contract, based at our Finchampstead clinic, just outside of Wokingham. We offer flexible home and office working. We are looking for an approachable person with a warm personality and great people skills to join our team.

Previous applicants need not apply. Full Time / Part time hours are available (candidate dependent and will be discussed at interview).

The MSK CSS / IPASS / BLIS Administration Team prides itself on the continuous support we provide to our clinical staff, and teamwork is vital to our community services.

Responsibilities
  • Use electronic patient booking systems, including E-Referrals and RIO, to facilitate an efficient referral and booking process.
  • Support and use a variety of digital & electronic applications systems – including Webex and our flexible telephone system.
  • Act as an accessible and central point of contact for service users, including patients and GPs.
  • Take responsibility for assigning caseloads and task management.
  • Demonstrate clear and concise communication with a variety of referral and patient related queries.
  • Maintain confidentiality, dignity and privacy while respecting diversity.
Candidate Skills & Experience
  • Educated to A level standard with GCSEs in at least four subjects including Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience of dealing with the public and working in an office environment in an administrative role (typing, telephone queries).
  • Strong teamwork and ability to work independently when required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer literacy – Word, Excel, email and databases.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills – able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn RiO/diaries and support further professional development.
  • Professional approach, approachable, helpful and able to empathise.
