About the role

The School of Nursing and Midwifery (SNAM), within the Faculty of Health, delivers nursing and midwifery training across three sites in Plymouth, Exeter and Truro. We are seeking to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to provide reception duties and cross site programme and placement administrative support in a busy and ever changing environment. The post will be located at the Truro School of Nursing at the Knowledge Spa in The Royal Cornwall Hospital, although travel to other sites may be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide front line reception duties and first point of contact for students.
  • Respond to student queries.
  • Process student travel claims and mandatory practice timesheets.
  • Assist the Senior Programme Coordinators and Programme Administrators in maintaining accurate student records.
  • Monitor attendance at mandatory sessions and update programme documentation.
  • Support academic processes through minute taking at Subject Assessment Panels, Award Assessment Boards, Student Representative meetings, and Programme Committees.

Due to the nature of the role, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate working from home.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed‑term basis until 31 December 2026 to cover a period of absence.
