Job summary

A healthcare provider is seeking an NMC Registered Nurse to conduct remote and face-to-face appointments with children and young people, especially those diagnosed with ADHD. Responsibilities include following NICE guidelines while prescribing, conducting multiple appointments daily, and attending monthly clinic meetings. Ideal candidates will have a background in CAMHS and EMIS experience. This role allows for remote work while requiring attendance at one of the clinics in Canterbury or Basingstoke each month, with expenses paid.

Qualifications

  • Must be a NMC Registered Nurse with a valid license to practice.
  • Experience in conducting face-to-face or remote medical appointments.
  • Familiarity with NICE guidelines and BNFC training is important.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 8-10 appointments a day including remote reviews.
  • Attend safeguarding meetings via TEAMS as required.

Job description
  • Follow NICE guidelines when prescribing.
  • Attend school meetings and safeguarding meetings via TEAMS as required.
  • Undertake duty calls as needed.
  • Use EMIS and electronic prescribing - training can be provided.
  • Receive regular supervision, both clinical and managerial.
  • Work remotely, attending the Canterbury or Basingstoke clinic once a month (expenses paid).
  • Conduct 8-10 appointments a day, including remote review / new patient medication initiation appointments (45 mins) and telephone titration review appointments (15-20 mins).
  • Authorise 8-10 prescriptions within a 45-minute slot.
  • Allocate 30 minutes for administrative tasks.
    This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check. NMC Registered Nurse with a valid license to practice.
  • CAMHS background.
  • BNFC training and ability to follow clinical protocols.
  • Experience working with children and young people and / or adults diagnosed with ADHD.
