Job summary

David Lloyd Leisure in Sunderland seeks an Activities Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of all activities across Fitness, Group Exercise, Racquets, Swim and Families departments. You will recruit, train and empower your team to deliver an exceptional member experience.

You will regularly act as Duty Manager, ensuring the efficient operation of the entire club and promoting a high level of service and belonging for members in a fast-paced leisure environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a large operational service delivery facility (e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility).
• Experience leading a variety of functions with variable challenges and goals, or across variable departments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and departments.
• Experience with financial planning and management.
• Passion for customer service and creating an environment where teams belong and thrive.

Responsibilities

Activities Manager - Sunderland

As Activities Manager you will lead and manage an efficient operation of all activities that take place in the Fitness, Group Exercise, Racquets, Swim and Families Departments within your DL Club. You will regularly act as Duty Manager, taking responsibility for the efficient operation for the entire club. We take pride in the service we offer our members so selecting the right team is key. You will lead the recruitment, training and empowerment of your team to ensure they bring their A-game to work each and every day in order to deliver an exception experience to our members.

As Activities Manager, we are looking for someone who:

• Has experience managing a large operational service delivery facility (e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility).


• Experience leading a variety of functions with variable challenges and goals, or across variable depts.


• Overall great communication and collaboration skills


• Experience of financial planning and management.
