Job summary

David Lloyd Leisure in Sunderland is seeking an Activities Manager to lead and optimise the delivery of activities across Fitness, Group Exercise, Racquets, Swim and Families departments. You will often serve as Duty Manager, ensuring a safe, welcoming and smoothly run club.

You will recruit, train and empower your team to consistently deliver exceptional member experiences, fostering belonging and growth within a thriving, inclusive club culture.

Qualifications

• Has experience managing a large operational service delivery facility (e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility).
• Experience leading a variety of functions with variable challenges and goals, or across variable depts.
• Overall great communication and collaboration skills
• Experience of financial planning and management
• A passion about customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the efficient operation of activities across Fitness, Group Exercise, Racquets, Swim and Families departments within the club.
• Occasionally act as Duty Manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day club operations.
• Recruit, train and empower the team to deliver excellent member experiences.
• Engage with members to uphold high service standards and a thriving club culture.

As A ctivities M anger you will lead and manage an efficient operation of all activities that take place in the Fitness, Group Exercise, Racquets, Swim and Families Departments within your DL Club . You will regularly act as Duty Manager, taking responsibility for the efficient operation for the entire club.
