Job summary

David Lloyd Leisure Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Manager to lead and manage the proactive delivery of all club activities across Fitness, Group Exercise, Racquets, Swim and Families departments.

You will regularly act as Duty Manager, oversee recruitment, training and empowerment of your team, and strive to deliver an exceptional member experience while driving service standards and financial performance.

• Experience managing a large operational service delivery facility.
• Experience leading a variety of functions across departments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience of financial planning and management.
• A passion about customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the efficient operation of all activities in the Fitness, Group Exercise, Racquets, Swim and Families Departments within the club.
• Regularly act as Duty Manager, ensuring the efficient operation of the entire club.
• Oversee recruitment, training and empowerment of the activities team.
• Deliver an exceptional member experience by maintaining high service standards.

Compensation Range - competitive £32,000-£36,000

As Activities Manger you will lead and manage an efficient operation of all activities that take place in the Fitness, Group Exercise, Racquets, Swim and Families Departments within your DL Club. You will regularly act as Duty Manager, taking responsibility for the efficient operation for the entire club. We take pride in the service we offer our members so selecting the right team is key. You will lead the recruitment, training and empowerment of your team to ensure they bring their A-game to work each and every day in order to deliver an exception experience to our members.

As Activities Manager, we are looking for someone who:

• Has experience managing a large operational service delivery facility (e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility).
• Experience leading a variety of functions with variable challenges and goals, or across variable depts.
• Overall great communication and collaboration skills
• Experience of financial planning and management.
• A passion about customer service.
