Senior Acoustic Consultant

Norwich £35,000 - £45,000 + Excellent Benefits

A respected and rapidly growing acoustic consultancy is seeking a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join its established Norwich team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced acoustician looking to take ownership of high-profile projects, guide junior staff, and contribute strategically to the company's continued expansion across the East of England.

In this senior-level role, you will lead building and environmental acoustics projects from concept through to delivery, acting as a trusted technical authority for clients and stakeholders. You will work across a diverse portfolio including residential, commercial, education, and infrastructure developments, delivering high-quality consultancy services and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver environmental noise and building acoustics projects
• Produce high-quality technical reports, noise assessments, and modelling outputs
• Act as a key client contact, managing relationships and supporting business development
• Mentor and support junior acousticians within the team
• Provide expert acoustic advice to planners, architects, developers, and design teams
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including BS4142, BS8233, and ProPG

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience within an acoustic consultancy
• Strong technical expertise in building acoustics and/or environmental noise
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using acoustic modelling software such as SoundPLAN, CadnaA, or Odeon
• Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Full UK driving licence
