Public Inquiry Paralegals (Hybrid/Office-Based)
Location: London (with potential opportunities in other major UK locations)
Start Date: Ongoing opportunities throughout 2025 and 2026
Day Rate: Competitive – based on experience and clearance status
Contract Type: PAYE contract via Accuflex

Accuflex is actively building a specialist pool of experienced paralegals to support upcoming high-profile public inquiries and government sector matters.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working on major UK public inquiries (e.g. Grenfell, Infected Blood, COVID-19 Inquiry), whether or not you currently hold Security Clearance (SC). If you already have SC clearance, or if it has recently lapsed, we would love to hear from you.

Key Criteria

✅ SC-Cleared or Recently Lapsed

• You hold active SC clearance or your clearance lapsed within the past 12–18 months
• You have worked on one or more UK public inquiries or major government reviews
• You are available at short notice (or can advise us of your availability)

✅ Experienced but Not Yet SC-Cleared

• You have supported a public inquiry or large-scale government document review project
• You are eligible and willing to undergo SC clearance (British citizen or long-term UK resident)
• You are detail-oriented, discreet, and confident handling sensitive materials

Typical Tasks May Include

• Reviewing, analysing, and redacting sensitive documents
• Summarising witness statements and inquiry transcripts
• Managing bundles and disclosure processes
• Assisting counsel and solicitors with evidence preparation
• Supporting legal teams under pressure and to tight deadlines

Location & Working Arrangements

• Most opportunities are based in London, though roles may also arise in other major UK cities
• Some positions may require fully office-based work due to confidentiality or security restrictions
• Hybrid arrangements are possible depending on the client and the assignment
