Elite Recruitment are recruiting for an Accounts Receivable and Payable Assistant to join a fantastic company based near Honiton.

This amazing opportunity is a long-term temporary position (with the potential of being permanent!), offering an excellent work life balance. You will be working Monday to Thursday, 8:00am 5:15pm, and Friday, 8:00am 1:00pm, with a competitive pay rate of £14.40 per hour, where you will be paid weekly

As an Accounts Receivable and Payable Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing sales and purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Managing accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and monitoring outstanding balances
  • Handling accounts payable, preparing supplier payments and reconciling statements
  • Performing bank and ledger reconciliations
  • Assisting with credit control and resolving invoice or payment queries
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and updating accounting systems
  • Supporting the finance team with month-end procedures and reporting
  • Liaising with internal departments, suppliers, and customers professionally

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Have previous experience in accounts receivable and/or payable
  • Possess strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Be confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Have excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
  • Be reliable, adaptable, and able to work well as part of a team
