Account Payable Assistant Role Overview

Are you detail-oriented and love keeping things organised?

We’re looking for a motivated Accounts Payable Assistant to support our client’s busy office in Holsworthy. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a friendly, fast‑paced environment.

Accounts Payable Assistant Responsibilities
  • Processing of purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Creating customer invoices and handling account queries
  • Assisting with preparing and processing supplier payment runs and keeping suppliers updated
  • Assisting with month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations
  • Keeping the purchase ledger up to date and audit-ready
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required
Accounts Payable Assistant Skills, Qualifications and Attributes
  • Experience working with purchase ledgers/account payable
  • Confident with data entry and office systems (SAGE experience is a bonus!)
  • Comfortable learning new tools and tasks (we provide training!)
  • A great team player with strong communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and able to prioritise tasks
