Join our vibrant finance team and contribute to the smooth running of our accounts payable operations. The role is based in our Northampton office with the opportunity to work from home 2 days per week, if required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute payment runs, including electronic transfers and cheque payments.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records and ledgers.
  • Support month‑end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to resolve queries and improve processes.
  • Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payments.
  • Assist with audit preparations by providing relevant documentation and explanations.
About you
  • Experience in a high-volume accounts payable or finance role.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • AAT qualification (or equivalent) preferred—study support available.

We are committed to ensuring you have the best career here at Sage. As well as regular support and guidance from your manager you can expect to receive a variety of learning and development opportunities to support you as you grow within our business. This includes internally and externally delivered development programmes and opportunities to study for professional accreditations and qualifications.
