Accounts Manager

Part, full-time, or flexi-time

Salary: £35-£40k

Our client is a small business based near Castle Donington.

They are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their friendly team.

This is a great role offering variety and interest, working in a lovely environment within an established business. The position would suit an individual with a strong accounting background. Experience in property or lettings is advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lettings
  • Print off bank statements daily
  • Manage LL payment schedule on Excel
  • Enter tenants and landlord payments on Alto (property management software)
  • Batch payments
  • Pay landlords
  • Pay contractors and note commissions due to Marble
  • Prepare annual tax returns for landlords
  • Reconcile all accounts and software
  • Sales
    • Raise and check invoices on Exchange and issue to solicitors
  • General Office
    • Create commission spreadsheets from agreed T&Cs
    • Check salaries
    • Issue payslips
    • Input invoices into QuickBooks
    • Pay VAT, PAYE, and pension contributions
    • Liaise with accountants
    • Budget weekly with MD
    • Pay contractors as part of office overheads
    • Order stationery from Amazon, Derby Co., and visit Costco twice a year
    • Manage petty cash and office sundries
    • Participate in annual health and safety meeting with Peninsula
    • Adhere to H&S checklists
    • Maintain personal records
