Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Obtain approvals, code, and post accounts payable invoices.
  • Allocate costs appropriately.
  • Manage expense claims and invoice queries.
  • Process supplier payments and reconcile statements.
  • Get involved in the month-end process and take on more responsibilities over time.

Job description

Kick-start a career in accountancy, with this entry-level Accounts Clerk position.

You'll get thorough and structured on the job training from experienced colleagues and all the ongoing support and coaching that you need.

And if you'd like to study for qualifications in accounts, you'll have the opportunity to go to college one day a week for fully funded training in AAT.

You'll receive an annual bonus based on the company's performance, which will really top up your salary!

And for some flexibility in your day, you get to choose your start time - either 7:30 or 8:30am.

With training you'll be doing the following:
  • Obtaining approvals, coding, and posting accounts payable invoices.
  • Allocating costs.
  • Managing expense claims.
  • Resolving invoice queries and discrepancies.
  • Processing supplier payments and statement reconciliations.

You'll get involved in the month-end process and take on more responsibilities as you develop in your role.

What you'll need to have:
  • Customer service experience from any industry - to provide a professional service to suppliers.
  • Confidence to deal with people over the phone - to build relationships with colleagues across the business.
  • Grade C/5 or above in Maths GCSE or equivalent - for general calculations and to spot discrepancies.
  • Basic Excel knowledge - working with it daily, you'll get to develop your skills.
Working hours:

You'll work Monday to Friday 39.5 hours per week.
