Accounts Assistant

Location: Lydney

Position: Full time, Permanent

Salary: GBP27,500

Our Client

We are delighted to be working with this local manufacturing business, trading locally, nationally, and internationally. They have success in designing, developing, and manufacturing a vast range of products. Our client is considered the most reputable and established business in the local area.

We are currently looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join our client's finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to progress within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Prepare, process, and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and expenses
  • Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepancies
  • Support the preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers regarding payments and queries
Key Requirements:
  • You will be local to the area and happy to commute daily
  • 1 year + proven experience within an accounts department
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers
  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
  • A good understanding of accounting software, preferably Sage and Microsoft Office (Excel)
