Qualifications

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Post monthly journal entries in multiple currencies and intercompany recharges, along with payroll entries, into NetSuite.
  • Conduct multi‑currency bank reconciliations for client accounts and operational accounts.
  • Assist the finance team with the preparation of the monthly P/L, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements.
  • Prepare insurance‑related reconciliations, including maintenance of Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA) ledgers.
  • Assist with client money calculations in compliance with FCA CASS 5 rules, safeguarding client funds and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts to provide clear and accurate reporting on client money positions and insurer balances.
  • Help prepare the monthly finance reporting pack and annual statutory accounts.
  • Liaise with other areas of the business to resolve ad‑hoc finance queries.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly balance‑sheet reconciliations and support annual audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Resolve queries on bank receipts and payments and prepare payment runs across multi‑provider, multi‑currency bank accounts.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Part or fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong track record of accounting experience in insurance.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage numerous assignments concurrently, and thrive in a fast‑paced changing environment.
  • Comprehensive experience in accounting tasks across multiple ledgers and currencies.
  • Experience using NetSuite is an advantage.
  • Self‑motivated “go‑getter” attitude and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced changing environment.
