Our Key Account Managers are responsible for building and maintaining trusted relationships with both existing and new customers within Halfords Commercial Fleet Services, ensuring the delivery of a consistently high-quality service. This role requires a proactive approach to customer engagement, taking full ownership of issues as they arise, and effectively planning and managing face‑to‑face visit frequency to strengthen partnerships and support long‑term customer success. Working closely with the Commercial Fleet Services Operations team, the Key Account Manager will focus on maximising PPK efficiencies, ensuring accounts operate within agreed budget levels while maintaining profitability. Strong forward planning, commercial awareness, and the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally are essential to drive performance, add value for customers, and support Halfords Commercial Fleet Services business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Drive account performance by improving profitability, customer satisfaction, and securing ongoing contract renewals
  • Build and nurture long‑term partnerships with both existing clients and new customers across your region
  • Take full ownership of PPK and Key Account budgets, ensuring strong financial control and profitable outcomes
  • Confidently negotiate pricing and service variables within agreed commercial frameworks
  • Support invoicing and credit control to ensure timely payments and excellent receivables performance
  • Collaborate closely with local Operations teams to align objectives, share capabilities, and consistently meet contracted service levels
  • Act as a trusted advisor and constructive challenger to key stakeholders to deliver the best possible service for your customers
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and problem‑solver for PPK and Key Accounts, owning issues from identification through to resolution
  • Liaise with relevant Head Office departments to ensure issues are corrected and completed in a timely and effective manner
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships internally and externally, aligned with company values and business ethics
  • Promote the company in the marketplace through proactive sales activity, networking, and customer engagement
  • Be an ambassador for the Halfords CFS values, supporting a unified approach across all Commercial Fleet Services entities
Qualifications
  • Proven experience within the Commercial Vehicle Tyre market
  • Strong knowledge and experience of managing PPK and fixed‑cost accounts
  • Excellent B2B relationship‑building skills with the ability to develop and deliver growth strategies
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and clear, effective communication skills
  • Commercially aware with proven negotiation skills and a track record of achieving sales targets
  • Extensive experience across all aspects of Customer Relationship Management
  • Target‑driven, motivated, and passionate about achieving success
  • Strong understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and industry requirements
  • Willing and able to travel as required, with a full driving licence
