Account Executive – New business
Reporting to: Director of Sales
About The Role:
New Era Technology are looking for “A Players” to achieve sales targets through proactive development of new prospects. Working as part of our International Division, you will be based out of our Slough HQ and responsible for selling a range of cloud and technology solutions to UK and global prospects.
Engage daily with potential clients to identify needs and present tailored solutions across our portfolio, including:
- Physical & Cyber Security
- Digital Transformation
- Data Networking
- Unified Communications
- Cloud, Managed & Professional Services
Primary Duties:
- Cultivate enterprise‑wide relationships with end‑user prospects to generate new business opportunities across multiple contacts and regions.
- Generate new business; you are in daily contact with potential end‑user prospects.
- Guide prospects through their buying journey. Present and sell solutions across several categories, leveraging the wider capabilities of New Era Technology.
- Uncover your prospect’s strategy, goals and objectives and provide solutions to meet and exceed their requirements.
- Effectively manage pipeline and forecasting with clearly defined next steps and actions.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer information and sales activity in the CRM tool.
- Present information to executive management (e.g., QBR).
- Communicate between New Era divisions and internal stakeholders (e.g., Production Management, Engineering, Customer Service).
- Represent the company at trade shows, trade associations and client meetings to promote solutions.
- Prospecting / networking.
- Generate proposals in partnership with other teams.
- Product demonstrations (on‑site and off‑site).
- Complete all required sales reports and business plans.
- Attend weekly sales meetings.
- Provide customer support and service to all prospects.
Secondary Duties:
- Work with colleagues to outline clear next steps, actions and owners.
- Participate in company‑wide projects & promotion (trade shows, etc.).
Required Skills and Experience:
- An experienced, proactive, energetic, self‑starter with an established skill set in solution selling and a solid understanding of the market.
- Proven history of performance in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships at the enterprise level, including competence and confidence in presenting at the Director, VP and C‑level.
- Excellent networking, presentation, and communications skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including strong familiarity with the Microsoft Platform, and understanding of technology trends and solutions within the unified communications marketplace.

- Hours of work are 09:00 – 17:30 Monday to Friday.
