Job summary

A well-regarded academy is seeking an experienced Academy Administrator to provide day-to-day administrative and financial support. The successful candidate will manage reception, assist in events coordination, and support staff and committees. Ideal applicants will have relevant administrative experience, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive situations calmly. This is a rewarding role in a busy environment, prioritising a professional experience for all. Satisfactory pre-employment checks will be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Proficient in ICT systems and office equipment operation.
  • Experience with financial administration, payroll support, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

You will provide effective day-to-day administrative, organisational and financial support, whilst ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for staff, pupils, parents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage reception duties and act as the first point of contact for visitors and enquiries
  • Maintain accurate manual and computerised records
  • Assist with planning and coordination of academy events, trips and activities
  • Provide administrative support to staff and the Local Academy Committee
  • Operate relevant ICT systems and office equipment
  • Monitor stock levels and support procurement activities
  • Assist with financial administration, including payroll support, budgeting and reporting
  • Support marketing, promotion, facilities and general office management
The Successful Candidate Will Have
  • Relevant administrative experience (education sector desirable)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
