Job summary

A reputable contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a short-term project in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will manage civils and groundworks operations, ensuring safety and quality throughout the process. Responsibilities include overseeing subcontractors, coordinating with clients, and maintaining project documentation. Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, and civils works, along with relevant certifications, are essential. This role offers a duration of 7 weeks starting mid-February.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within civils / groundworks.
• Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, and general civils works.
• SMSTS certification required.
• CSCS card is mandatory.
• First Aid at Work certification needed.
• Ability to manage programme and labour effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations for civils / groundworks.
• Oversee subcontractors and direct labour.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to spec.
• Coordinate with the client, engineers, and suppliers.
• Maintain site paperwork, RAMS, and progress reports.
• Enforce health & safety standards at all times.
