Job summary

TRC Yorkshire is seeking dedicated 7.5 Tonne Drivers (Cat C1) for ongoing roles in the Banbury area. You will move palletised or loose parcels, with up to 80 kg per load, and complete up to 30 drops daily while loading/unloading with tail lifts when required.

Expect Monday to Friday shifts, 7.30am–5.30pm, with a pay rate of £15.70 per hour PAYE. A valid C1 licence, tachograph card, DCPC, and clean licence with <=6 points are required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with C1 entitlement.
• 12 months driving experience required.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Safety-first mindset and compliance with all road transport regulations.
• Ability to load/unload and handle palletised goods when required.
• Understanding of WTD legislation and tachograph rules.

Responsibilities

• Securely move and transport palletised or loose parcels to customers or businesses.
• Handle loads up to 80kg and assist with manual handling where needed.
• Complete up to 30 drops per day with attention to accuracy and paperwork.
• Unloading and loading duties with tail lift-equipped trucks where applicable.
• Maintain professional conduct when interacting with customers and represent the company.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and driving regulations at all times.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 17.30pm

The role

• Securely moving and transporting palletised or loose parcels to customers or businesses.
• Packages will be heavy (up to 80kg weight)
• Up to 30 drops per day.
• Drivers will be required to unload and load - trucks will be fitted with tail lift for palletised goods
• Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with C1 entitlement (7.5 Tonne).
• 12 months experience required
• Be comfortable with heavy lifting and handballing
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
