Job summary

John Lewis is hiring Installation Specialists based in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs. You will join a two-person delivery crew, drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle, and install products such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems and TVs at customers’ homes.

Your day starts at the hub and you head out on a route, delivering large items while delivering excellent service. This role involves heavy lifting and DBS checks may be required for some positions.

Qualifications

• Previous installation experience required; installer accreditation available.
• Manual C1 UK driving licence (max 6 points).
• DCPC or Driver Qualification Card by day one.
• Tachograph Card.
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of technology.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with great customer service.
• Load up your lorry with the day’s deliveries alongside the warehouse team.
• Respect and protect the customer’s home; handle issues to find solutions.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate how they work.
• Keep up to date with new products and technologies.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Note: heavy lifting involved delivering large items such as sofas and appliances.
