Qualifications

• Valid Class C1/C licence and digital tachograph card required.
• Must hold CPC qualification.
• Experience in multi-drop deliveries within the furniture industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicle safety, maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Plan daily routes and manage delivery documentation.
• Safely load and unload furniture.
• Communicate with customers and store personnel.
• Handle furniture assembly in customer homes.
• Collect returns and manage recycled furniture.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.

THE ROLE

• Vehicle safety, maintenance and cleanliness
• Daily route planning and control of delivery documentation
• Safe loading and unloading of furniture to customer properties and warehouses
• Communication with customers, stores and warehouses
• Some furniture assembly in customer properties
• Collection of returns and recycled furniture
• Plan and drive to predetermined appointments with due care and attention
• Liaise with customers to confirm delivery times
• Ensure furniture is unwrapped and checked for any damage prior to leaving the customer's properties
• Maintain vehicle to the legal requirements and as outlined in the Driver's handbook
• Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations
• Other reasonable duties within the job holder's capabilities

THE CANDIDATE

• A Class C1/C licence, digital tachograph card
• CPC qualified
• You must be self‑motivated and hardworking
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of multi‑drop deliveries within the furniture industry would be advantageous
• A flexible approach to working hours including being able to work overtime
• Able to work on your own initiative and as a member of a team
