Job summary

Meridian Trust is seeking a 2nd Line IT Technician to support both staff and students with IT concerns and escalated issues. The role involves maintaining central and localised systems, upgrading services and providing guidance to apprentices and 1st Line Technicians.

You will contribute to implementing IT systems, ensure system availability, and promote a professional, can-do attitude within a small, dedicated team.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
• IT Qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Excellent IT Troubleshooting experience.
• Experience administering computer systems & networks.
• Knowledge of PC, Windows OS and hardware.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional conduct and good communication.
• Team player with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist Apprentices and 1st Line Technicians with escalated IT problems.
• Provide strong professional advice to promote the Trust brand.
• Maintain, upgrade and ensure availability of central and localised systems.
• Contribute to the implementation and support of IT systems managed by the Trust's IT services team.
• Help users operate ICT efficiently.
