Job summary

Meridian Trust in the Rushden area is seeking a 2nd Line IT Technician to join the IT services team. You will handle escalated issues from staff and students, provide reliable advice, and help maintain central and localised systems.

You will work with Apprentices and 1st Line Technicians, ensuring smooth operation, robust backups, antivirus checks, and timely updates while upholding the Trust's high standards of service.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
• IT Qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Excellent experience of IT troubleshooting.
• Experience administering computer systems and networks (Change logs, backup, Anti-Virus checks).
• Good knowledge of PC, Windows Operating Systems and other IT hardware.
• Working knowledge of a range of software packages including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional conduct with colleagues and customers.
• Be a team player, with a 'can do' solution focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist Apprentices and 1st Line Technicians with escalated IT problems.
• Provide strong professional advice to promote the Trust brand.
• Maintain, upgrades and availability of central and localised systems allocated to your team.
• Contribute to implementation and support of IT systems managed by the Trust's IT services team, ensuring smooth operation for users.
