Job summary

Meridian Trust is seeking a 2nd Line IT Technician to join a small, dedicated team and support schools across North Northamptonshire. You will handle escalated IT issues from staff and students and assist 1st Line Technicians and Apprentices.

Key duties include maintaining central and localised systems, applying upgrades, and ensuring smooth ICT operations. Driving licence desirable for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
• IT Qualifications or equivalent experience
• Excellent IT troubleshooting experience
• Experience administering computer systems and networks
• Good knowledge of PC, Windows OS and IT hardware
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Professional conduct with colleagues and customers
• Team player with a can-do attitude
• Outstanding communication and personal integrity

Responsibilities

• Assist Apprentices and 1st Line Technicians with escalated IT problems
• Provide strong professional advice to promote the Trust brand
• Maintain, upgrade and ensure availability of systems allocated to the team
• Contribute to successful implementation and support of IT services across the Trust
