Job summary

Leidos is seeking a 2nd Line Engineer in Huntingdon, UK, to provide essential IT support across high-security systems. You will perform fault rectification, support CSI and change requests, and ensure SLA/KPI compliance while collaborating with 3rd line and Apps teams.

You will manage servers/VMs, apply patches, document configurations, and contribute to security practices. The role offers pension, private medical insurance, and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• Provide second-line technical support and resolve incidents promptly.
• Maintain servers and virtual machines to ensure high availability and performance.
• Update network certifications and maintain system documentation.
• Offer SME input on CSI processes and improvements.
• Provide expert support to end-users and resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities

• SD+ ticket resolutions to ensure incidents are handled per KPI/SLA.
• Maintain and record periodic maintenance (PPM) of systems.
• Patch all domains using WSUS and SCCM with Microsoft/security updates.
• Document system configurations and changes accurately.
• Assist in configuration, installation and deployment of infrastructure components.
• Participate in infrastructure-related projects and CR implementations.
• Perform root cause analysis with other resolver groups and manufacturers.
