Overview

Our client is seeking a 2nd Line Engineer/3rd Line - IT Support Engineer to be part of their growing team, based in Mayfair, London.

Working Pattern

Participation in the on-call weekend rota is compulsory, once every month. You will be paid an additional £250.00 for the on-call shift. You will effectively be a standby employee on weekends to cover unexpected or emergency demand.

Job Responsibilities
  • This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional with MS Server, Desktop, Active Directory and Networking skills to join a company promoting unique solutions and a hands-on approach.
  • This position will provide a mixture of 2nd/3rd line service desk/remote support (some 1st line), field support and the installation of IT projects and managed services to their growing customer base.

It is also essential to have a working knowledge and practical experience of the following:

  • Microsoft Desktop & Office Systems
  • Microsoft Server and Virtualisation Technologies, Active Directory Security and Administration, GPO
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  • Support of hardware, printers, desktops and Servers + laptops
  • Email, Antivirus & Backup software
  • Networking knowledge regarding WAN, LAN, VLAN, VPN, WLAN, layer 2/3 switching, Firewalls and Routers
  • Mobile devices/phones systems
Key Skills
  • Active Directory
  • Very high level of IT competency
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge of Microsoft Active directory services
  • Knowledge of current MS Server & VMware standards
  • Microsoft 365
  • Hardware knowledge – desktop computers – network printers/printing – laptops
