Job summary

Mitie in Lurgan is seeking a Security Control Centre Operator to monitor alarms and respond to incidents within a 24/7 environment. The role involves handling CCTV and data records while coordinating with security teams to ensure timely responses.

Shift-based role alternating between day and night schedules, with a 4 on 4 off pattern. Training will be provided; strong communication and calm decision-making are essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to alarm activations (intruder, panic, fire, lone worker) per procedures.
• Support 24/7/365 SCC coverage in a shift-based team; days, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Follow workflows to assess incidents, record details, escalate and ensure timely responses.
• Provide professional support to stakeholders, site teams, security officers and emergency services.
• Manage requests and updates in systems; ensure information is recorded and passed on.
• Support CCTV and Body-Worn Camera footage requests; ensure secure handling and logging.
• Maintain auditable records of actions taken during incidents and service requests.
• Help meet service performance by alarm response, call handling and customer service.
• Escalate risks or issues to supervisors promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain resilience and smooth handovers.
