An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Nursing & Midwifery Staff Bank Office as a Deputy Supplementary Staffing Manager.

Working alongside and deputising for the Supplementary Staffing Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the effective management of our Bank workforce. This is a pivotal post that will contribute directly to ensuring safe and flexible staffing across the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Supplementary Staffing Manager, providing leadership and operational support within the Staff Bank Office.
  • Apply and implement the Once for Scotland Workforce policies, ensuring best practice in all aspects of Bank worker management.
  • Oversee processes relating to Bank worker recruitment, probation, and ongoing support, ensuring compliance with policy and high standards of practice.
  • Support workforce planning and contribute to efficient deployment of staff to meet service needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and produce reports using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to support decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (NMC) with proven leadership and management experience.
  • Strong understanding of workforce policies and ability to apply them in practice.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications with excellent IT literacy, including confident use of Excel.
  • Organised, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a busy environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and supportive approach.
