Job summary

A local educational institution is seeking two enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants for 1:1 support in the Juniors. Qualifications

Hours: 15 hours per week, Term Time Only & 5 Inset Days

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31 August 2026

Salary: JG3:SCP5 to SCP6, £25,583 - £25,989

Actual Salary: £9,109.83 - £9,254.41

Start Date: January 2026

The Role

High Down School have an exciting opportunity for 2 enthusiastic and committed 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to work in the Juniors.

Work within a learning framework set by the classroom teacher(s) and /or the SENCO, provide support for the individual needs of a named child, which ensures that they have equality of access to opportunities, in a safe and healthy environment to learn and develop both academically and emotionally.

Post-holders will be required to work:

  • 15 hours per week, term time only to include 5 INSET days.
  • The hours of work are 09.00 – 12.00 Monday to Friday.
