Job summary

Chalkline, an MS Solutions partner, is seeking a 1st Line Technical Support Analyst to join the Managed Services team in Borehamwood. The role offers UK-based office work with occasional client-site travel and exposure to the latest Microsoft technologies.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in IT support, strong customer service, and a drive to expand technical expertise across Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows Server environments. Excellent benefits accompany a permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in IT support, service desk or MSP.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Passion for technology and continuous learning.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st line technical support to a range of clients.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and cloud issues.
• Support Microsoft 365 environments and cloud infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious IT support professional with 2 - 3 years' experience who is looking to broaden their technical expertise, work with the latest Microsoft technologies, and play a key role in supporting a diverse client base.

Working as part of our Managed Services team, you will provide technical support, troubleshooting, and project assistance across a wide range of technologies, helping our clients maximise the performance, security, and reliability of their IT infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing 1st line technical support to a wide range of clients.
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and cloud-related issues.
• Supporting Microsoft 365 environments and cloud infrastructure.
• Assisting with IT projects, deployments, and system upgrades.
• Managing user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
• Escalating complex technical issues where required.
• Delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Documenting support tickets and technical solutions accurately.

While most of your work will be based from our Borehamwood Head Office, there may be occasional travel to client sites when required.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting: Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, Windows Server 2022 & 2025, Active Directory, Security Platforms (Barracuda & Mimecast), SonicWall Firewalls, UniFi Networks, HPE Aruba Networking Solutions, Cloud Infrastructure & Managed IT Services

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• 2-3 years' experience within an IT Support, Service Desk, or MSP environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• A passion for technology and continuous learning.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Technical Knowledge In:
