Job summary

Placr Recruitment is seeking an IT Support Technician to join a growing managed IT services provider. You will handle 1st and 2nd line support, troubleshoot Windows and connectivity issues, and assist with Microsoft 365 applications while delivering excellent customer service.

The role is based in North East Hampshire with office-based duties and some client-site visits. Youdont need to know everything on day one, but you should have IT support experience, strong communication skills and drive

Qualifications

• Experience in an IT support, helpdesk or service desk role.
• A practical approach to troubleshooting and a genuine interest in technology.
• Clear communication, patience and strong customer service skills.
• The ability to manage competing requests without losing your cool.
• A full UK driving licence for occasional customer visits.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1st and 2nd line support by phone, through the service desk and occasionally at customer sites.
• Troubleshooting Windows, hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Supporting Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
• Helping with user accounts, permissions, passwords and multi-factor authentication.
• Keeping tickets updated and customers informed.
• Getting involved in customer onboarding, device setup and technical projects.

Placr Recruitment is looking for an IT Support Technician to join a growing managed IT services provider. You'll tackle varied technical challenges, support business customers and develop your skills alongside an experienced team.

You dont need to know everything on day one. You do need IT support experience, a confident telephone manner and the drive to take ownership of a problem.

What you'll be doing

• Providing 1st and 2nd line support by phone, through the service desk and occasionally at customer sites.
• Troubleshooting Windows, hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Supporting Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
• Helping with user accounts, permissions, passwords and multi-factor authentication.
• Keeping tickets updated and customers informed.
• Getting involved in customer onboarding, device setup and technical projects.

What you'll bring

MSP experience would be a real advantage, with salary flexibility up to £38,000 for candidates who bring strong experience supporting multiple business customers. Microsoft 365 administration and basic networking knowledge would also be welcome.

Based in North East Hampshire, Monday to Friday. This is primarily an office-based role, with occasional home-working flexibility and customer site visits.
