Job summary

Senploy is recruiting a 1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Sefton, providing dedicated one-to-one support to a pupil who needs help with learning, communication and emotional wellbeing.

You will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to monitor progress, adapt activities to individual needs and promote a positive, safe learning environment for the student.

Qualifications

• Has experience in SEND, education, care or children's support.
• Is patient, reliable and emotionally resilient.
• Can build trusting relationships while maintaining clear boundaries.
• Understands the importance of consistency and individualised support.
• Is passionate about helping children become more independent.

Responsibilities

• Providing dedicated one-to-one support throughout the school day.
• Adapting classroom activities to match individual abilities.
• Helping manage emotions, transitions and daily routines.
• Encouraging communication, social interaction and independence.
• Supporting EHCP targets and personalised learning activities.
• Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to monitor progress.
• Promoting positive behaviour and a safe learning environment.
