About this role

As a social platform used by millions globally, safety isn't a feature, it’s a core product mission. We’re now looking for a Safety Product Manager to join the Product team and take ownership of some of the most critical challenges we face.

As a Safety PM, you’ll be part of the Product team (CPO + 2 PMs + 2 Product Designers) and work cross-functionally with engineering, ML, design, data, legal and Trust & Safety (T&S) ops teams. This is a high-impact, strategic role with end-to-end ownership of safety initiatives at scale.

• As part of your job, you will be working on tools that process personal data relating to Yubo users.
• As a social media platform, we require our employees to have a strong awareness and understanding of privacy issues, and in particular of children's online safety, privacy and well-being.
• Every employee at Yubo is expected to participate in compliance with data protection regulations as well as the continuous improvement of our Privacy & Safety By Design measures.

• Lead product discovery for all safety-related initiatives: understand user problems, detect threats and vulnerabilities, validate through data, and iterate rapidly.
• Define and prioritize safety outcomes aligned with Yubo’s strategy, and turn these into actionable roadmaps and product experiments.
• Drive the delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions, balancing speed and impact in collaboration with engineering and ML.
• Ensure strong stakeholder alignment across Product, Legal and Trust & Safety teams, and act as the main coordinator for cross-functional safety priorities.
• Own impact monitoring: track product performance against key safety metrics and use insights to iterate, validate and guide further initiatives.
• Represent product in internal governance processes, ensuring transparency and compliance in decision-making.
• Support a strong product culture by mentoring peers and advocating for outcome-driven and ethical product development in the safety space.

• You have 6+ years of product management experience, in a B2C tech startup/scaleup environment.
• You have strong experience working cross-functionally in highly regulated or sensitive environments (e.g. safety, privacy, compliance).
• You are comfortable working with data, monitoring key metrics, and using insights to drive decisions.
• You combine empathy for users with pragmatism and focus on outcomes.
• You know how to influence without authority, align teams around shared goals, and communicate clearly across diverse stakeholders.
• You're energized by fast-paced environments, love solving complex problems, and care deeply about building a safer internet.
